A study has just been released and it should give some people an excuse to practice: sex would make you smarter.
In fact, the University of Maryland and another from Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea reveal that sexual relations can make you smarter, or at least increase cognitive and memory functions by stimulating the creation of nerve cells.
This study conducted on rats would have shown that sexual relations increase their cognitive functions. Last November, Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea, concluded that sexual activity reduces the effects of chronic stress on memory, and would therefore have positive effects on its stimulation. However, the opposite is not true. Being smarter doesn’t mean having more sexual activity: a more stimulated grey matter would actually set back the age of the first time, which some people experience in college… Studies seem to conclude that those with above-average intelligence are less likely to have sex than others.
Thus, sex can increase the power of all brain functions. So to increase brain power, a psychologist at the Center for Neuroscience at Rudgers University has some advice: “You can develop new cells with exercise, and sex. If you train your brain, you keep the cells produced longer. If you do both, now you have the best of both worlds. You make more cells, and you keep them longer”.
